Welcome to another RNG fest. Another day worth of attempts to get this. If there's a fight that'll force you to learn the science behind the delay of your actions, it's this one.

I brought Joshua's experience to the point of almost getting a level up. After the fight with the 4 soldiers, he levels up to 77, fully heals him and get True Black Fang.

Let's look at Mueller: he's fast. VERY FAST. He also hits like a truck for around 3.2k damage. Blade Dancer comes first on his 7th turn, and every 5th turn after for around 5k damage. Pray for low damage rolls.

You need a Clock Down on him and a Clock Up EX on Joshua to even the ground. This also improves the chance for a double turn. Casting Sylphen Guard improves your chances of Mueller missing, and you need him to miss for you to get a chance to attack.

Don't, I repeat, don't let him get turn bonuses. Manipulate turns to ensure this, items, arts casting, attacking. Him getting a heal, a critical or an STR bonus is bad news for you.

For offensive options, True Cloak and Dagger is the best choice. It hits for 1k damage and has a low delay, so you may get a double turn. I used Blue Impact to steal turn bonuses.

There's still a lot of luck and praying to be done to win this fight. You can spend 10 minutes on the defensive and still win. Stay calm and look for openings to attack.
