Trails into Reverie - Part 1 - Operation Liberate Crossbell
2Here we go! This game rocks! Trails into Reverie is Falcom's earnest love letter to fans of the Crossbell saga. It is nothing less than major fan-service for those who have played the past 9 Trails games. It feels all so worth it to get to this point. The battle system, the quests, the story and all the other mechanics have been honed to such a precise and pristine degree that it's downright unbelievable. I absolutely love this game!
Now for the ugly stuff. I don't enjoy this boss battle at all. And I personally think he was a poor way to get this party started. Why? He's a big fat stationary robot that will do nothing but AOE attacks until he dies. And that'll take a while since his HP is so enormous. So although this boss isn't hard, he's also very boring, tedious, and repetitive. But don't worry, every boss after this is challenging, strategic, and most important of all; entertaining!
