If you found every cryptid superboss (and regulus) as well as finished all the spec ops missions you will be given one more quest upon returning to the courageous.
You get a call from Toval of a new Shrine he found and asks if you want to join him.
TO GET THE GOOD ENDING YOU NEED TO DO THIS!
So after meeting up with Toval in the Coastal road, which thinking about you never actually need to come here in the game unless you're going for the good ending. There will be one more shrine for you to take on.

This boss is quite a difficult challenge being essentially a stronger version of the true final boss fight of trails of cold steel 3 (which all things considered makes a lot of sense) except now you get to choose your party as well as Toval instead of being limited to Rean, Juna, Kurt, and Musse. That also means his break damage is also an important part of the fight because you will likely get one break off on him during the fight. After that break I hope you have your chrono bursts and S Crafts ready because you'll either kill him or you'll probably die.
