Train Sim World and my thoughts on PC Version of TSW 2020
no music.. no talking.. just a train ride at normal speed from inside and outside the drivers seat while trying to play and enjoy some TSW... TSW 2020 is coming out on the 15th of August 2019... "They" say with better UI and improvements... let's hope so. Although Train Sim World looks better than TS2019. I find it lacking in execution.. the fun is just not there for me "yet".. very limited on DLC and no editor or Steam Workshop kind of leaves me wanting more... we always want more... I really dislike the outside views.. not the graphics, those are a nice improvement over TS2019 and that's the only improvement to "me".. Although I have had it since at least Jan 2018, I only have 16 hours in it.. There use to be some bad bugs so I set it to the side.... now I don't know.. But in features.. too much diving back to "near train" view while trying to do an outside spin and anything like a roof etc gets in the way... pretty frustrating for "me" to get a nice view of the area... over hangs at stations are just a bear to avoid clashes with viewing.. the controls, well they just seem clunky for "me", probably the learning curve I am not enjoying to learn.. but something is just not right to "me".. is it just me. or does it seem the Trains just glide over the ground instead of rock and roll as they go?

Hopefully TSW 2020 has some good improvements.. But with their venture into Xbox One and PS4 worlds(their new cash cow).. I see limits more than expansions and probably why there is no workshop or editor in the PC Version.. I know PC people with their "raildriver" controller are out of luck at the moment.. while xbox controller people still have that to fall back too if not fans of keyboard and mouse.... DTG, Just add some traffic on the streets so the world does not seem so empty.. longer routes.. Some rocking in the cabs while driving for that "feel"... Some huge savings on DLC and a dump of plenty DLC.. time will tell.. at least like Train Simulator, they are smart enough to give the new Update out for FREE to current owners.. Which keeps the customers buying that DLC.. I think I will wait and see what the forum discussions have to say about TSW2020 before pushing any more money at it.. or depending on how much they slash the price during the launch..I may get a DLC or two.. I been known to do that.. although I really don't think I will be putting TS2019 to the side any time soon.. I'm thinking the TSW2020 is going to be all about the "console" players.. I could be wrong.. have been before.. I wish them the best.
UPDATE: I purchased the Deluxe version and although I already had the Long Island line.. I am still not disappointed, but called it pretty well.. The "world" still lacks a good amount of traffic and sound.. People still sink into the platforms and trains..The trains still seem to glide instead of roll along.. some UI updates.. a bit more snappy.. nothing game changing..but it is moving along on down the rails..
