World of Subways 4 – New York Line 7
If you missed this title... 2015 release.. It is already an old game.. and yet.. Such a great looking game to "me", to grab the 70's vibe.. No music.. no talking.. just a Non-Stop train ride at normal speed from driver seat with a Conductor taking care of the doors.. Cinematic view at most stops... you will notice at the station arrivals, I might get subjected to a wait on departure time if running to fast...

"The series "World of Subways" features some of the most interesting Subway Routes of the world for the PC. Once again World of Subways 4 comes back to New York, perhaps the most exciting city in the world. The whole gaming world takes place in the 70ies/80ies and is created in its typical look."
Features:
21 original subway stations
Eyeshot up to 4 km
playable drivers and conductors
interactive depot
80% above ground and over the rooftops of the city
new Aggro - Mode for more fun
exciting missions based on stories
schedule rides with shift change
life-like signaling system
realistic KL-train traffic and dynamic passengers on platforms
interactive 3D- driver cabin with all relevant operations
with a screen for routes, stations and controlling
interactive 3D-conductor cabin for the optional conductor mode
Not only is there a complete list of shifts to run.. day and night with different weather scenarios... you also have bonus scenarios of serial killers.. earthquakes.. violence.. delivering babies etc etc.. its a wild ride.. as well as a very good subway simulator..
I guess if you grew up with "L" stations..subways etc..like I did,. this might interest you.. wish they would continue the series and do the full Chicago CTA "L" lines.. The Pink, Blue, Red, Brown etc etc.. anyways... during the 60's and early 70's it seems like I lived at a dang L station... to this day , when I see pics of an elevated wooden station platform I can still smell the wood and steel and imagine the vibrations... dang near magical...you would have had to live it .. to understand it... they did good here to grab that feeling and deserve more respect then this series gets.. The big boy title "train" games such as TS2019, TSW, Trainz.. don't even touch this vibe feeling with subways "imo".. TML-Studios, Aerosoft... continue this series and push the advertising!! Maybe some DLC for different era's.. the 30's the 50's 90's and present day... Add in some station announcements.. I can still remember conductors on the intercoms.. some basic and straight.. others , enjoying their job and making the announcements fun and bringing smiles to the passengers.. it really was a daily experience, changing every day..:)
Another review they think Highly of:
“The technical beauty of the game is great to behold once you get to know the game and its intricate details. [...] This is a game I'd play again and again so I could pretend like I'm in the 70's in New York or just experience the intricate details of trains. This game is as good as other World of Subways volume's I've played and definitely not your run of the mill train simulator. It aims to create a specific experience for you in depth. I really like it and think you will too.”

As you can see from this real world view comparison link below, they did a fine job on the track layout it seems... Obviously the time period would have different arrangement of buildings so we can give them that... I prefer the "older" look.. https://youtu.be/wUhwriFwsVM
