Samhain
Celtic Druids light the fire, feeding flames as they get higher.
Gathers now the Witches’ coven, and the mortal fates are woven.
At the twilight and at dawn drums of old sing their song.
Pagan rituals and magic, sacred knowledge of ancestors.
Summer ended, now it's fall — Samhain comes to take its tall!
Autumn brought the gifts of harvest, and the dead are all around us…
In the forest Spirits dwell — they make the crops grow so well.
All year long they do their bidding, but tonight they shall be feeding.
Thus, in order to receive, one must always something give.
As the shadows dance silent the procession becomes quiet…
As the Pyre brightly burns, the young one his fate shall learn:
He was chosen by the gods to become the one who dies.
This dark pass he shall embrace, as the ritual takes place.
When the night comes to an end, they will burn the Wicker Man.
