Trainer Class | Pokémon Stadium 2 100% Rentals Only - Earl's Academy "61/63" (No Commentary)
22In this part, we head to Earl's Academy and take on the three class types to complete them. We start with Trainer Class and must complete it in order to unlock Gym Leader Class. To complete the class, we must read through the entire Lecture (I did this at the end instead of first) and answer a question at the end of each section. Once the Lecture is done, we take a 10 question Test on everything we learned in that Lecture, and you must answer 8 of the 10 questions right to pass. Lastly, we battle a set amount of trainers. Each trainer represents something we learned in the Lecture and we must show in battle how to deal with the situation by choosing the correct 3 Pokémon and winning the battle. Once the Lecture, Test, and Battles are complete we receive the Pichu Medal, unlock Gym Leader Class, and finish the Trainer Class.
Note: During the Battle segments, there will be skipping as the battles start and finish as my HD recording device is not a fan of recording off an N64. This is also the case in Gym Leader Class and Elite Four Class, sorry!
Battle 1: Camper Cole
Pokémon to Use: Pidgeotto, Growlithe, Beedrill
Strategy: Attack with Fire, Flying, and Bug type attacks to defeat the enemy via weakness.
Battle 2: Super Nerd Melvin
Pokémon to Use: Furret, Miltank, Stantler
Strategy: Use Water, Ground, and Rock type moves to defeat the enemy via weakness.
Battle 3: Schoolboy Carson
Pokémon to Use: Hitmonlee, Bellossom, Magmar
Strategy: Switch to Hitmonlee if he sends out Golem, Umbreon, or Sneasel. Switch to Magmar if he sends out Steelix or Scizor. Switch to Bellossom if he sends out Donphan. Defeat via weakness.
Battle 4: Swimmer Clayton
Pokémon to Use: Murkrow, Dragonair, Pinsir
Strategy: Use set damage attacks (Dragon Breath, Seismic Toss, Night Shade) to bypass defense enhancing moves like Acid Armor and Barrier.
Battle 5: Youngster Jonathan
Pokémon to Use: Delibird, Aerodactyl, Croconaw
Strategy: As Delibird, use Frustration on Turn 1 as you're faster. On Turn 2 use Fly to dodge Solarbeam and Skull Bash, and repeat until the Pokémon is defeated. Repeat the Turn 1 and Turn 2 method to win.
Battle 6: Picnicker Cyndy
Pokémon to Use: Fearow, Lickitung, Granbull
Strategy: The other trainer will use Amnesia to raise Special Defense, so use physical attacks like Fearow's Drill Peck to win.
Battle 7: Lass Nancy
Pokémon to Use: Eevee, Noctowl, Golbat
Strategy: The other trainer will spam accuracy lowering moves like Smokescreen and Sand Attack, or evasiveness raising moves like Double Team. Use Swift to hit no matter what they do.
