Gym Leader Class | Pokémon Stadium 2 100% Rentals Only - Earl's Academy "62/63" (No Commentary)
15In this part, we take on the Gym Leader Class and must complete it in order to unlock the Elite Four Class. To complete the class, we must read through the entire Lecture and answer a question at the end of each section. Once the Lecture is done, we take a 10 question Test on everything we learned in that Lecture, and you must answer 8 of the 10 questions right to pass. Lastly, we battle a set amount of trainers. Each trainer represents something we learned in the Lecture and we must show in battle how to deal with the situation by choosing the correct 3 Pokémon and winning the battle. Once the Lecture, Test, and Battles are complete we receive the Pikachu Medal, unlock Elite Four Class, and finish the Gym Leader Class.
Note: During the Battle segments, there will be skipping as the battles start and finish as my HD recording device is not a fan of recording off an N64. This is also the case in Trainer Class and Elite Four Class, sorry!
Battle 1: Pokemaniac Joseph
Pokémon to Use: Lantern, Ghastly, Raichu
Strategy: With Lantern, use Attract and Confuse Ray to make it hard for them to hit you, then use Waterfall to finish them, if Lantern falls, use Ghastly's Hypnosis to put them to sleep, then Dream Eater to take them down.
Battle 2: Kimono Girl Naomi
Pokémon to Use: Primeape, Poliwhirl, Politoed
Strategy: Use Thrash with Primeape to take out Murkrow, your item will fix your Confusion. Once the next pokemon comes out, switch to Poliwhirl, and use Belly Drum to max your attack, then Rest to recover HP. Your item will wake you up instantly. Use Mud-Slap to defeat the ghosts.
Battle 3: Lass Tammy
Pokémon to Use: Mareep, Wooper, Spinarak
Strategy: Switch to Mareep if she sends out Gyarados. Switch to Wooper if she sends out Magcargo. Switch to Spinarak if she sends out Sunflora, Meganium, Bellossom, or Tangela. Defeat via weakness.
Battle 4: Youngster Dustin
Pokémon to Use: Magneton, Seadra, Aerodacrtyl
Strategy: Send out Magneton for Dragonite, Golduck, and Skarmory, use Lock On to aim and Zap Cannon to damage/paralyze. Use Aerodactyl for Sudowoodo and Steelix. Use Seadra for Dugtrio.
Battle 5: Schoolboy Nolan
Pokémon to Use: Mr. Mime, Jynx, Staryu
Strategy: the other trainer will use Light Screen to raise Special Defense, so use physical attacks to win.
