An excellent evening spent at the always amazing station of Cheddington on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Northwestern Railway, Southern and freight from Freightliner, DB Cargo UK and GRBF.
Cheddington was opened in 1838 by the London & Northwestern Railway and really hadn't changed all that much throughout its life albeit with the additional platforms when the WCML was getting busier and the catenary for the overhead wires. There used to be a branch line leading from Cheddington to Aylesbury where it would terminate, this line was closed to passengers in 1953 but remained open to freight traffic until 1964 which was one year after the Great Train Robbery which made Cheddington feature in the national news, a link to the Great Train Robbery can be found below.
This film also features several shots of the avian variety which I'm sure many people will help me with.
My next film should be Sheffield on the Midland Mainline.
