This New York Central Mohawk was developed by Wgkandsk some years ago, and I was intent to use it on a fictional New York Central layout that I was building, but I was surprised to find that the physics (engine) file doesn't actually work. In fact, it used a defective USRA 4-8-2 Mountain file. I built a new engine file, using the E-Specs 09 Excel sheet by Bill Fock. However, this new file still produces wheelslip once the locomotive accelerates past 30 m.p.h., even when pulling a light passenger train. The real locomotive could do about 94 m.p.h., and cruise (with a passenger train) at 80 m.p.h. Therefore, this is a defective engine file. After struggling with it for a week or two, I gave up and posted in several threads on the Auran forums, again with little positive result. I started this video at around the same time, but never got around to posting it anywhere. Therefore, I'm posting it now in the hopes of finally solving this bug. Feel free to message me, or comment below, if you have the solution. That's the whole point! Thank you in advance.
