I often get the question these days why I don't upload much anymore, let alone make flightsim videos. There are multiple reasons for that, here's a short list:
๐ Busy (sometimes) with real life flight training (can't really combine that with flightsim due to procedural distractions that would give). Hope to be done by the end of this year (2022), but there are a lot of delays in the programme because of COVID. Normally it takes 2 years, now almost 3.
๐ When not flying, I enjoy other hobbies and time-spending activities more than flightsimming. When going home, I prefer spending time with family and friends :)
๐ COVID made me not want to sit behind a PC all the time
๐ A bit fed-up with flightsims in general at the moment, P3D isn't great, MSFS is not fully ready yet either, but getting there!
๐ Just a general feeling of wanting to spend more time on real life things instead of social media
๐ Creativity dip in 2019 from which I still have not fully recovered for some reason
๐ Lack of a place to create a studio and easy workflow for making videos or making a permanent flightsim setup
๐ Creating tutorials takes a heck of a lot of time and effort, people often don't realize. At the moment, I'm just not feeling like it due to the above reasons :)
I'm not sure what the AviationPro channel's future will look like. Likely it will be a shift towards more real-world content and the occasional tutorial with a higher production value. This obviously takes more time, but I don't want to force myself into making a tutorial within 2-3 days anymore ;) Perhaps, a new and other channel on a totally different subject may come in the future, who knows! Because I do really enjoy making and editing videos in general, and I do have other hobbies.
A big thanks to the people who keep asking about this! Hope I didn't let you down too much, especially since the channel was very active in the years 2016-2019. Truth is, things change, I change, the world changes... but whatever happens, just know I'm extremely thankful to all of you out there for watching and supporting the channel!
