When I first played travellers rest I wanted to do a game review because this game has a lot of interesting and fun takes on the RPG life simulator genre. If you like games like Stardew Valley and Graveyard Keeper, then this game is something you'll be like.
Firstly, you dive into the fantasy by getting to create your character and you can basically create the look of which class you want to be, which I really like. I made a wizard looking dude and was good to go.
Next we get to the game and basically there are two major components to the game, the first is the restaurant management simulator and the second is the RPG simulator, which work together and affect each other, but more or less are 2 different gameplay experiences.
The main mechanic of the game and what is more or less half of what you will spend your time doing is the tavern owner simulator aspect. If you like restaurant simulators or games like overcooked, then this is the vibe and it’s pretty fun. You have different foods and drinks that you serve, you need to keep the place clean, kick out any rabble-rouser and ensure the place is the right temperature.
