Pax vobiscum!

I wanted to share with you another dip into another type of video, a weekly post called "Treat of the Week"! Treat of the Week will be my highlights of what I call "candy books" (books I read for fun), coffee shops, sweets, and anything else that I deem my treat for the week!

This week's treat is the book, "The Coworker" by Freida McFadden. I was doing my usual wandering around my local bookstore and selecting books that looked interesting, and this book became the top of the stack. A sort of crime thriller, it had a twist to the story I was not expecting at all! It was definitely a candy book though; the characters felt flat in some places, and the plot felt rushed. I think the story could have benefited from a more drawn out plot with polished edges, as well as a deeper dive into the characters themselves, giving the reader a chance to empathize with them more.

Other than that, a decent read that you can complete in an afternoon or so over a cup of coffee or save for a rainy day!
