Just be careful not to accidentally turn it in.. like I did.

Other sources have different numbers of failures that worked for them, but 6 failures (1 break) worked for me. The goal is to get the Equipment Merchant to pity you. This hidden quest (Failure and Success) ports you back to Fedimian. As long as you don't turn it in, you can always port there.

► Instructions
1. Buy 1-2 cheap weapons to upgrade.
2. Upgrade them in front of Equipment Merchant in Fedimian until you have failed 6 times.
3. Check the NPC if he has a quest every time you fail as the number of failures needed to activate varies.
4. Do the quest he gives you (Kill monsters for necklaces).
5. NEVER TURN IN YOUR QUEST.
