Valheim is a good game. I'm not usually into these survival/resource driven games, but the combat is fun, building feels simple, faster, and more satisfying, and it's viking stuff. The physics in this game is quite good as well. Tip for beginners, you can run around and eventually find already partially built houses. This might speed things up for you as you really only need to build a crafting table and bed to get things started. You can even set-up small houses as a sort of network of save points.
