I was hyped for this game and made the mistake of playing it on launch day. There are a number of reasons that I typically do not play games until developers have had time to work out initial bugs and optimize. Also, because the experience at launch does not represent the experience other gamers will have through the life of the game.

This game is a nice homage to Akira Kurosawa's works and other classic samurai movies. However, that means the story is of the same style as those classic tales - making it fairly predictable, and short. Unfortunately (in my opinion) they padded out this game with plenty of combat to increase the playtime up. The controls are far from perfect leading to frustrations at any difficulty setting.

Maybe I was overhyped for this game. Regardless, I only recommend this game to Kurosawa fans.
