Tricopter cam comparison
The video I'm getting from the Veho Muvi is very wobbly, so wanted to do a comparison with a horrible keyfob camera, which came with it's lens twisted at 45 degrees - hence it's been taken out of the case and shrinkwrapped back again.
I also tried putting a bit of foam under each camera to see if that will absorb some of the vibration.
Interesting results. The Veho seems extremely sensitive to wobble, while the cheap and nasty keyfob handles it better. Sadly, the keyfob cam seems to have an extremely narrow lens - giving everything a "zoomed in" feeling, and it doesn't handle the transition in light very well.
The ultimate conclusion is that both cameras are a bit crap, and I still have some vibration from the props or motors to take care of.
Apologies is the editing is a little rough, iMovie '09 couldn't do side-by-side clips, so I ended up very rapidly trying to learn a bit of Final Cut Express.
