Triggerheart Exelica Enhanced (PS2 Arcade Mode) All Clear with Cruel Tear
I had been meaning to edit together a comparison video of the 3 home ports of Warashi's Triggerheart Exelica, but the project got stuck on the backburner. So in the interest of getting the footage posted, I decided to simplify and just discuss some basic info surrounding each version.
All replays were captured from original hardware through S-Video to DVR. Auto-rotate was used in all 3 videos. Tate display was used in all 3 captures.
This is the PS2 version which carries the "Enhanced" moniker. It contains 2 game modes: Arcade and Story (Story Mode is yoko-only). The big draw of this version was the unlockable gallery images and the animated intro (that, and the limited edition came with a massive Nendoroid of Exelica).
This version of the game was released just before Warashi closed their doors.
Pros:
1. Contains plenty of bonus imagery when playing Story Mode
2. Has a fully animated intro
3. Offers a third playable character in both modes: Fain Tear
4. Supports 480p via Component
Cons:
1. Suffers from excessive slowdown
2. Plagued by graphical issues in tate (such as tearing and inconsistent frame rates)
