3The seminal Trouble Planet Podcast sees a conversation being had between two gormless street urchins and the owner of multiple apocalypse survival kits. Hereby is relived a forgotten chat log full of titles for a novelty Let’s Play series that never ended up getting made. (Not that that’s a meaningful distinguishment from all the Let’s Plays that did get made, for all their net impact on the cultural landscape.) Said doomed project would have featured Korey the Animator and Kyle (no title- destined for an unmarked grave) trying to play games using things like novelty voice-activated controllers. Sure sounds like we all dodged a bullet with this one! Let us all be momentarily thankful that it, like most Trouble Planet-related projects, remain safely ensconced within the Void.
This seminal episode doesn’t adhere to the format we would eventual blunder into, but In a rare show of restraint it clocks in at only about 15 minutes; if its unique tone of “dire jocularity” tickles your fancy, then the rest of the series might well suit your pleasure!
