Hello everyone! Yet another gameplay of a demos from the last Steam Next Fest. This one is called Theseus Protocol and it is a Deckbuilder Roguelite with sci-fi settings. It lacks of a tutorial right from the start, but most of the gameplay is easy to understand for people who is familiar with the genre. Not really sure if I was right, but apparently when you choose the path, you can select between different kind of fights or some events, and if there are different battle scenarios, they will show you one of the card packs that they will offer you as a reward (I think). The novel part here is that, instead of getting one card at the end of a fight, you get a pack of three, so you will have a lot of cards in your deck soon enough. Thankfully, it is not hard to remove cards in this game (i got a lot of money for that at least), but, sadly, at some point I had lots of credits that I couldn't use because didn't find a new shop.

The graphic and sound design is pretty cool, although some attacks don't have sound at all (no idea if they missed that or if it was a glitch). Also, I am not sure if I missed something, but at least twice the card's effect didn't count. Once while applying shock related to my discard pile (it dealt the shock as if I had 0 cards on the discard), and once more when getting shield I didn't get anything (I thought I had forgotten, but rewatching here, I see that I played the card and I have no idea what happened).
Once I say in the video that the Valiance didn't do anything, but I just missed, I can see now that it did.

Overall the game is pretty good, and challenging enough, so I had a good time playing it (but didn't pay too much attention to the events). It takes a lot of other deckbuilder games but changing the names, like the artifacts, 3 energy each turn, 3 consumables (potions), etc... But it has its unique stats, events and game mechanics. I still didn't quite understand how the positioning matters... I know there was a card about dealing more damage if in front row, but no idea what else would be the point (maybe some enemies deal more damage to you in a specific position?).
