Here is Part 2 of trying Indie Heroes Collection 3! Here, we play more previous Games of the Month!
Bubble Seahorse Adventures is a good platformer, but it is quite too short. And I think the final boss is kinda a huge spike in difficulty.
There is some replayability here, going for score or max coins (in like a Cadey's Challenge, for example). But besides that, there isn't much here incentivizing another play.
Chew Chew Mimic is a fantastic game. When it was Game of the Month, I beat it 100%. And then the developer Lowtek Games commented that he tried a Low% run, so I wanted to try one too. And that's what I did here.
I don't know if I was doing well or not. But it was something different, at least. I wonder if the final screen shows how many coins you have, because I don't remember.
Doodle World Redrawn is an alright game. It is very short, even for an NES game. My only real complaint about it is the hit detection when jumping on the Erasers. It's too easy to die and kill them at the same time, which doesn't even make sense.
Donut Dodo is probably the best game on the cartridge. But in its current state, it has 2 main flaws: the huge amount of lag on VS/EXP (and maybe OG?), and the inability to play it at all on the Super Pockets.
But Donut Dodo is a really fun game - fluid controls, amazing music and graphics, and immense replayability. Hopefully Blaze can fix the issues with this game sooner than later.
So yeah, that's more Games of the Month 2023 revisited, and overall it was a good time! :)
