Trying out the new release version of Launchbox 13.6 for the first time w/ a handheld Gameboy emu.
I upgraded to the latest release version of Launchbox 13.6 today,
My gameplay emulation feature is the classic Nintendo Gameboy, which uses an overlay of a real Gameboy device to play its games
Regarding the new front-end look **FREE Version **:
The Launchbox interface has received some significant updates and added features to the menu, and it's evident that the developers put in a lot of effort to please the users with a fresh look. As someone who has always enjoyed the front end, I welcome any positive changes brought to the table.
However, my only gripe amidst all the positivity is the oversized, somewhat ugly green play button. It feels out of place and detracts from the overall beauty of the 3D box art, icons, and gameplay snapshots. It almost gives the impression of a website or a Popcap shareware game installer, which doesn't quite blend well with the rest of the interface. Sadly, there is no configuration option to turn it off.
Overall, Launchbox 13.6 is a good release, but I'll need some time to get used to the changes and the prominent green play button. Despite this minor issue, I appreciate the effort put into improving the experience.
