VMWare Pro 17.0.2 Real-world usage w/ Windows 10 as a retro platform for classic & emulation gamers.
*My real-world use of VMware Pro 17.0.2, running on Windows 10, serves as a retro platform for both classic and emulation gamers.*
*This segment highlights the effectiveness of the new VMware version 17 showcasing what games and emulators will fully work with it.*
*Here are the reasons why you might want to use VMware for running old-school games and emulation software:*
1) Avoid installing older third-party apps on your regular OS, which runs in the background. (For instance, this could include audio programs or older media drivers.)
2) Prevent compatibility conflicts between legacy and newer software drivers. (Newer updated drivers might conflict with older ones that are not compatible.)
3) Guard against viruses, malware, spam, and unwanted web links/advertisements...
4) Isolate buggy games. You don't want it to crash and bring down your main operating system.
5) Unlimited backup copies of the containers (You've FUBAR the OS - No problemo.)
6) And of course - Portability and sharing. Run the VM directly off an external USB SDD Drive.
*My overall impression of VMware, after using it for gameplay and emulation, is quite positive. It's a noticeable improvement from version 16. I did experience crashes of the entire virtual machine while exiting games like Diablo 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, and World in Conflict (though these results aren't consistently reproducible), I don't find this to be a significant problem. Saving your progress regularly makes this a minor inconvenience at best.*

Next Segment I will try to upload some more modern Gaming Emulation to show which ones really work well on VMWare 17.0.x. Emulators like; PCSX2 (more running games,) RetroArch, Citra, Dolphin Emu, and again - to see If I can get a variant of ChatGPT to install/work independently in its own container.
