Trying to record Rotaeno
3You know, I came up with an idea for a rhythm game almost exactly like this one a while back, and no kidding the next day woops comes out with a video on this game.
The only difference is that my idea didn't use the gyro, cause I forgot that exists.
To record this I used scrcpy, OBS, and an OBS plugin: https://github.com/linnaea/obs-rotaeno-stablizer/
Because scrcpy uses a compressed format, the rotation is a bit jittery. I'm not sure how to record uncompressed.
I modified the plugin to add properties to the filter menu that can adjust the location it checks for the coloured squares, add padding around the edge to stop the corners from being clipped, and set a "rotation scale" to tune how far the recording rotates compared to the actual device.
