Honestly, I probably could have avoided using level 7s had I prepared a little better. For some reason, I decided not to carry ~10 Big Magnets on Dark Lag Kirby and I ran out pretty quick since they wouldn't be restocked via golf as I carried less than 7 $10 bills and used Hypnos on the level 11 fights.
Either way, I had a lot of good luck even on some 5% misses. Had any of the cogs exclusively target one of my Toons, the run would have been immediately over.
In hindsight, instead of Dark Lag Kirby I probably should have used my tank uber toon, Ice Kirby, so I wouldn't have the chance of rolling Toon-Up Gags for the golf game's restock.
