About the game:

Turbo Sliders Unlimited is a spiritual successor to many classic top-down racing games, but in 3D and with modern online features and extensive customization and modding possibilities. It goes far beyond being just a racing game — it is a community-driven platform where anyone can create their own levels, vehicles, and game modes. It can be played as a serious esports game, as a fun casual game, or as a sandbox game. It can be played alone or as a multiplayer game, both locally and online. Different game modes include various forms of racing, sumo, tag, soccer, capture-the-flag, collector, and weapon battle.

In addition to online multiplayer, the game can be played with up to four players in split-screen mode, either locally or joining online games together. If you prefer to play alone, you can enjoy single-player campaigns or race against AI drivers in quick or custom games. You can even create and share your own campaigns with self-made AI players, or play campaigns made by others. Additionally, you can compete in time trials or hotlapping modes, trying to beat times in local and global leaderboards, optionally playing against recorded ghosts of other players.

The game includes feature-rich level and vehicle editors, which are the same tools the default vehicles and levels were made with. That means players can create and share both levels and vehicles, potentially inventing completely new game modes. Everything is designed to be playable online, and games can also be recorded and watched later with different camera angles and playback speeds. The game also includes sophisticated tools for making custom paint jobs. New customization packs can be purchased to get access to more decals, colors, and other customization options, but there are no pay-to-win elements.

The design philosophy of Turbo Sliders Unlimited is to provide players with as much freedom as possible. There is a massive amount of features and game modes, and rather than dictating what people should do, players are free to make their own choices. Players can either focus on just playing, or become creators or game masters hosting their own games, possibly with special rules. Or, if players want to take it even further, it is possible to run one's own dedicated servers with custom metagame or stats associated with them.

Features:

Online multiplayer with up to 20 players — anyone can host a game (also with a dedicated server) and decide its levels, vehicles and rules

Single player campaigns, quick or custom game racing against AI players

Feature-rich in-game level and vehicle editors — sharing possible via Steam Workshop

Campaign and AI editors allow creating your own single-player campaigns and AI behaviors

Lots of non-racing game modes, too: e.g. parkour, platforming, sumo, capture the flag, battle with weapons, soccer, tag and collector

Local split-screen multiplayer with up to 4 players — also possible to join a multiplayer game together

Local and global leaderboards (per level and vehicle, also for campaigns), possible to hotlap alone against leaderboard ghosts

Good for serious competitions or arcade fun, and for sandbox creativity

Extensive paint job customization possibilities - it is possible to buy new customization packs, but no pay-to-win mechanics

Various camera presets, all tunable (far/close 3rd person, top-down, 1st person, free camera, look back, spectator)

Games can be recorded and watched later using different camera angels and playback speeds
