7FRONT MISSION 1st Remake is a Turn Based Tactics RPG Mech battler in a grounded Sci-Fi, where you
take your team through missions, becoming stronger, scoring loot, and upgrading your mech; all that is good in mech life!
A remake of the old SNES Front Mission, FRONT MISSION 1st Remake is a faithful one, adding more modern graphics and UI, making it much more pleasant to play; it’s FRONT MISSION with a much needed coat of paint!
RPG Player Customization:
The options for player customization, so vital for RPGs, are present in the form of earned character exp in battle, which goes to separate exp pools: Melee, Short Range, Long Range, and Dodge; so that the higher % of each they gain per lvl, will somewhat determine their lvl spread.
This creates a sort of Morrowwind / Skyrim like lvling system, in that the more you do a thing, the better your pilot will get at the thing; good.
This goes for all your pilots, and as this is a Mech game, you also have many choices to make on kitting out your giant war machine.
Make a Mech Your Way!
Swap out your body, legs, left and right arms, the 2 shoulder slots, backpack, and CPU core on each mech, as well as any carried utility items like repair kits or mines, allowing a hefty degree of player customization for each member of your RPG battle team.
Many options here:
Set up a mech as a LRM boat, with mines to handle any coming in for the kill.
Bulk up with hp and armor for an up-close and personal tank.
Gear for hit chance and mobility, adapting an aggressive hit and run mech to do the dps, and then get out of there!
Or make a generalist mech, who can fill in and tie down enemies as needed.
Note: This is a look at the demo for FRONT MISSION 1st Remake so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, FRONT MISSION 1st Remake is offering fun, Turn-Based Tactics RPG Mech combat through a classic, SciFi campaign, with plenty of RPG player customization for their team, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
