Core Devourer is an Indie, Horde Survival, Sci-Fi Robo Bullet Hell; a Wave Survival Top Down shooter where you aim, shoot, reload, and dodge your way to victory!
More a 20 Mins Til Dawn like, than a Vampire Survivors like! Good!

In Core Devourer, you lvl up and gain power by picking up the orange orbs that drop off enemies, these orbs do not disappear; they just wait patiently for you to hover your robo booty over to them and vacuum them up, granting you 1 pick of 3 random upgrades, in Vampire Survivors like fashion.
However, this is not a Vampire Survivors like, as in Core Devourer, you must aim your own shots, and the game even DARES to make you reload!
Imagine, not being able to play a game 1 handed while absent mindedly staring off in space; not in Core Devourer!
No! You aim, you shoot, you reload, and you dodge; good!
Core Devourer is much closer to a 20 Mins Til Dawn like, albeit with a much different art style.

Meta Currency is present in the form of acquired resources; the loads of collected blue resource Energy, the orange Catalyst you find on the map as you hover around, and white crystals that drop off bosses, the Mythril.
This Meta Progression includes stuff like faster speed, more damage, increased pickup range, an extra dash, some hp healing on lvl up, powerful and impactful stuff like that, as well as 4 different main gun cores to unlock in the demo, providing a bit of variety to the blasting.

Controller support is present as well, as is good old mouse and Keyboard; good.

Note: This is an early demo of Core Devourer, and any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Core Devourer is a fun Wave Survival SciFi Shooter that will likely interest those hungry for something more demanding then yet another Vampire Survivors like, and is easily worth a wishlist, and a watch.
