Infested Fortress is an Indie, Base Building, tunneling Colony Sim Survival RPG, combining Real time with pause, push pause building and colony management, with turn based, tactical combat. Cool.

Infested Fortress feels more like a reverse Dungeon Keeper than a Dwarf Fortress like, with the focus on building up your base to fulfill your heroes needs, and lvling up your heroes as they mine, build, and battle through their new dungeon home; fun!

Choose your 3 character party, and head into the mountain, digging your way into the collapsed caverns, shaping your dungeon lair your way!
Your characters gradually get better at doing the things they are doing, as they are doing them, which is nice, and your party members can select individual new skills as they lvl, letting you shape your adventurer party as you wish.

The turnbased, tactical combat is both ap (action points) and cooldown based, so managing your ap is vital to be able to get off your powerful selected abilities for your chosen hero classes, of which there are mages, clerics, cleric/mages, fighters, archers, rogues, so many choices here.
And AoEs (Attacks of Opportunity) are in, so watch where you step heromans!

Note: This is the Early Access version of Infested Fortress and thus any encountered bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Infested Fortress is offering both Real time with pause Base Building & turn-based Tactical RPG Combat; the best of both worlds some might say.
