Tutorial on how to easily and fully convert SPC to WAV via ZSNES and Winamp
Ever since yesterday, I became strongly obsessed with EarthBound/Mother 2 ROM hacks, and mainly with their custom sprites and (most importantly) songs.
There are a few people here on YouTube who have ripped/converted a few ROM hack songs from Radiation's Halloween Hack (aka world's best-known Mother 2 hack), but most of them lack the first few notes, unfortunately.
(Accurate example of a ripped ROM hack song with the lacking first few notes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51cTR52Cz_A | accurate example of a genuine fully ripped ROM hack song (that actually makes me happy): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1V9ziVB4Fg4)
After trying out and looking for many ways to 'record' music straight from the emulator both fully and smoothly, I think I finally found the way now :)
By the way, the following link contains a brief tutorial on how to patch SNESAmp to Winamp, which is a mandatory step in order to properly follow this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hmKn-2aPPM
Also, it's not that I necessarily only want to rip Mother 2-related songs, so this is why I used Super Mario RPG in this video, because, of course, you can rip SPCs from any SNES game. And this is also a very good way to 'download' songs when there's no internet! :P

Music 'used':
-Super Mario RPG - End Of Factory (not really music, but more like some sort of ambience): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoU-Ro8qsh8

This video has been narrated by Microsoft Sam on Speakonia, since I, myself, didn't quite feel up to narrating this video by myself due to a commonly soft/low voice volume, often stuttering and/or mispronouncing certain words. The narration was added for the sake of those who are also willing to convert SPC files to WAV files with the help of this tutorial, but have dyslexia and/or other reading issues.
And yes, I do know that from 0:12 to 0:22, it says S-N-E-S and Z-SNES, rather than SNES and ZSNES, but that's because I directly copied the text from Speakonia and Microsoft Sam cannot properly pronounce SNES and ZSNES without hyphens being placed in between (some of) the letters :P
The screen video as used here has been recorded by me via Bandicam. Please do not use it without my permission.
Enjoy, like, etc.! :)
