With this video, we have come to the end of Kamiya's directorial works. What a ride, huh? They're a challenging bunch of games, to be sure, but they all have great styles. It's cool to see how they've evolved, how things change, how they stay the same even in different genres, things like that. In the end, even if they're hard and a little too unforgiving, I have a lot of respect for them for what they've done!


As of this recording, this is the last game that he directed that saw release. His next project after this a game called Scalebound, which would've been a character action game where a human teams up with a big-ass dragon companion, but due to difficulties in development, Microsoft pulled the plug back in January 2017.


But it's not like he stopped working! Also in 2017, he was named Vice President of PlatinumGames, and he still has ideas for games he wants to make. He didn't direct Astral Chain, which saw its release at the end of August 2019, but he did supervise its development. (Maybe I'll play that on stream sometime?) On top of that, details for Bayonetta 3 are scarce as of this upload, but you just know he's gotta be involved with it somehow.


So hopefully this isn't actually the end, and I'll be able to add on to this playlist again in the future!
