Well, here we are.

I’m not going to stream anymore on Twitch or YouTube. Why? You might be asking. At the moment I have too much things going on in life. And I cannot motivate myself to stream. When I’m streaming it does cost more energy than I’m gaining.


Second reason is growth. Streaming is a way of interacting with the people that watch the stream. Creating the content together. And share nice moments. If I look at the statistics, its not good enough. I belief in a calm way of streaming. But clearly that does not attract enough people. I have to be honest with myself. And maybe I’m simple not the kind of person for streaming. That does not mean I do not enjoy it. But there are moments it feels pretty silly to stream.


My last reason is the current development with Twitch and streaming in general where it becomes hard to use the ‘fair use policy’ (DMCA). Besides that, there is also something going on that I cannot accept. This is how sexual accusations are handled. The concept of judge, jury and executioner is played by one party. I find it very sad that people suffer because of something that has not been proven. Even big companies like Activision Blizzard took off an achievement from streamer Swifty. A pretty big World of Warcraft streamer. This is their right. But it does not mean it would be morally the right thing. In my opinion you support your customer (in this case) until proven wrong. Just replace Swifty with presidential nominee Joe Biden. That case went way different, why? My point is don’t take too hastily action if nothing has been proven yet. Only if there is an immediate danger, I belief, can you take precautions.


To quit making it a political message. That’s not what this video is about. I’m going to stop. I do not like how things are developing. And it did set in motion my retirement from Twitch. I wish all my viewers and followers the best. I did have a lot of fun with you guys and girls. I will be focusing on not burning cheesecakes, since I don’t get distracted by chat.
