Kirby's Dream Land is the first Kirby game ever and the only main series game where Kirby doesn't have the copy ability. It was made with beginner in mind, while most other games were stupidly difficult to try and pose a "challenge." While Dream Land was easy, if you hold Up, Select, and A at the title screen you start what the game calls Extra Game. It's basically the same game, but it becomes a lot more difficult for players who wanted a challenge and it changes many of the sprites too.

I decided I would not use save states in this challenge and probably most other challenges of this nature, so don't worry about me using an emulator.

The reason I am playing the Extra Game is because I want to beat a lot of the extra mode content in every main Kirby game. Getting 100%, beating the boss rush, special challenges, etc. I wouldn't mind trying to do the same in spin-off titles, but I doubt I will ever beat all of Kirby's Avalanche.
