Twitter Grifters Do Not Understand X-Men 97
Update: I said the original X-Men cartoon was from the 80s but it is from the 90s. That's my bad since I confused it with the time the Uncanny X-Men comics were out along with the release date of TMNT.
X-Men 97 is the first X-Men project that Disney decided to release under Marvel Studios which I find very interesting. I get why since the show is iconic. It along with its theme song is the first thing that comes to mind for me when I think about X-Men. The show, while a new continuation, is set during the 1990s but still reflects aspects of the modern day like oppression that minorities face. However, despite the fact that X-Men has always had that message in its stories, some idiots think it wasn’t there and that this adaptation is “woke.” These people clearly have not picked up an X-Men comic book or watched any of the movies. In this video I explain how media illiterate some people on Twitter are with X-Men as a franchise.
