Two decomposed bodies that were tied together have been discovered in a dam. sparking a homicide investigation. The grisly discovery was made by a kayaker paddling in the local waters at Gordonbrook Dam. 21km north of Kingaroy in regional Queensland. at 3:30pm on Saturday. The two bodies were left tied together in the dam water for some time based on the decomposition rate. The pair's vehicle a white 2004 Holden Commodore station wagon was also found in the picnic area of Gordonbrook Dam. Police said the vehicle had been parked at the dam since February 22. Investigators. who are now tracing the man and woman's movements leading up to that date. asked for public assistance. 'Detectives. tracing their movements. are seeking public assistance with officers appealing for anyone who saw their white 2004 Holden Commodore station wagon parked in the picnic area of Gordonbrook Dam.' police said. 'The vehicle is believed to have been there since February 22 and anyone who saw the vehicle or has further information is urged to immediately contact police.' 'In response to queries on water quality. Council undertakes regular testing of the water supply. both raw and treated water from Gordonbrook.' it said. 'This monitoring ensures all water meets health guidelines before it is let into reticulation system.' 'In recognition of this issue. council has this evening ensured the water supply from Gordonbrook will temporarily cease and will take 100 per cent supply from Boondooma Dam.' Locals were reassured that the water supply was safe to drink.
