Two Zumwalt Class Destroyers Are Getting First Hypersonic Missiles! #shorts
Zumwalt destroyers are 40% larger than the Arleigh Burk class destroyers, but has an R C S of a fishing boat, and cherry on the top is that now Zemwalt class destroyers soon be armed with hypersonic missiles! The installation process of hypersonic weapons on two Zemwalt stealth destroyers, the USS Zemwalt DDG-1000, and the USS Michael Monsoor DDG-1001 will take place at Ingalls shipbuilding in Mississippi, sometime in October of 2023. The day is near, when Zemwalt destroyers will fire Conventional prompt strike hypersonic missiles, or CPS. The CPS will travel at the speed of above Mach 5, and will be able to maneuver in mid flight, with a range of thousands of miles. The U.S. navy will remove the two 155mm Advanced Gun System, to make some room for launch tubes for hypersonic weapons, and each tube will carry multiple hypersonic missiles. Zemwalts can also launch Tomahawk cruise missiles, and evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles. Each stealth destroyer like stealth bombers costs in billions, and the cost of hypersonic missiles will be separately!
