There is still a good way to go until the 24.10 launch in October, however daily builds now feature the original Ubuntu startup sound used between 4.10-6.06 for the 20th anniversary of Ubuntu. It can be turned off. Warty Brown now replaces the Bark color tone, but in this specific build is buggy. However the light topbar is apparently intended as a nod to how the Gnome 2 panels were colored in 4.10 by default.
