Ubuntu - Faster/Smoother Videos with Hardware Video Decoding, VLC and Kodi

4A small video on installing VDPAU and VAAPI drivers for smoother and more efficient video decoding.
This should help with high CPU usage, and spikes. Along with temperature.
[ sudo apt-get install mesa-vdpau-drivers vdpauinfo ] for VDPAU (typically AMD and NVIDIA)
[ sudo apt-get install mesa-va-drivers vainfo ] (AMD Radeon and Intel HD Graphics)
[ sudo apt-get install vlc ]
[ sudo apt-get install kodi ]
But if you want to use the built-in Ubuntu(GNOME) software Videos, installing gstreamer's vaapi plugin should do the trick.
[ sudo apt-get install gstreamer1.0-vaapi ]
