Description:
This is my attempt to make an AI album in style of a definite artist. Since TBM is the band that I'm listening so often now, I decided to prompt the band's name and got some interesting results, which made me decide to make this album.
First of all, as you may hear, most of the songs are not so close to the real TBM music in terms of sounding, because the real TBM are the gothic rock band and they still use guitars even in latest albums despite of being more of a synth oriented. Udio generates a guitar parts very rare, most of the time it gives a synthwave music, but it does a good job of reproducting Chibi vocals and overall TBM music atmospere, especially the atmosphere of their latest albums (Under the Spell and later). The most close to the real TBM music, in my opinion, is the track "Silverbeam Serenade".
All the music and lyrics are auto-generated, so the texts may be innacurate, clumsy and without meaning. Some phrases are repeating, such as "candles flicker", but I actually don't care about the lyrics, I made it just for fun, and to sound good to my ears. Also, some of the tracks may be too short or seem to be incomplete, but that's because Udio just couldn't generate more or less interesting parts of these songs to make it longer, and I decided to leave them as they are.
Originally I've planned to make a 15-track album, but during the production of it I've deleted 4 tracks for being not so interesting, so there was 11 tracks left. The album should be ended with "Shades of Mystery" since it's a slow ballad, but later I've generated more songs in Udio just for insterest, and there was one track - "Twilight Enigma" - which was very good, do I decided to use it as the last song on the album. So there was (and still is) 12 tracks in total. I've finished it in May 11.
On the next day I've started to think about making a second album, and began to generate more songs and Udio. And it gave me 2 new tracks "Moonlight Whisper" and "Silberbeam Serenade" which sounded way more advanced and superior than the previous songs. Also, in additional to the band's name, I've added "a song about a Moon Kingdom/Moonlight" to the prompt. This is the reason that these 2 tracks have a another theme in the lyrics. I was thinking to begin making a second album with there tracks, but there was a couple of problems.
First, no matter how I tried to generate more music, it wasn't giving me results that could match these 2 tracks in sounding. Second, it seems that Udio has changed to be no longer free to make as many generations as I wanted, so I started to run out of credits. At this moment I've had to choose between including these tracks to an album as bonus tracks or release them separately. But since I don't like a seperate releases that much, the better choise for me in that situation is to make them track 13 and track 14 and make them an extra tracks which has no connection to the main setlist.
After that I decided to end this album with one and only instrumental track. It appears to me "Velvet Lullaby". Pretty good decision to end this album, I think.
I don't know if I continue to make that kind of music in the near future. The AI technoligies are making better very fast, so maybe there will be more sense to returning to making an AI music after a while (maybe after half of the year or maybe whole year), and maybe there will be more complex and advanced results. But for now, it's just an early state, but results are already pretty good. I've had so much interest and fun while creating this. Thanks to the UdioAI creators for all this.
For the artwork, I used Leonardo.Ai to make the Sailor Moon inspired arts of the moon princess holding a candlestick, standing in front of a crystal castle at the night. The purple shade is a resemble to the TBM style artworks, which are in purple colors as well. I love Sailor Moon, it's such a great anime.
Created by me using an AI from May 8 to May 12, 2024.
All the music and lyrics are generated by Udio beta.
Artwork is generated by Leonardo.Ai.
