The SA-6 is a medium-range surface-to-air missile system. The UH-1H Huey isn't fitted with a radar warning receiver, so I had to fly very low to avoid detection and being fired at since there was no way for me to tell if the SAM site had detected me, locked onto me or had fired its missiles on me. The engagement starts after minute 20:00
The SAM battery site distance from the starting air base was over 90 miles or around 140 km and that's a long distance to cover by a helicopter which travels at just 80 to 120 knots (160 km/h to 260 km/h) depending on the helicopter type. Since it took so long, I decided to only start recording nearer to the SAM site. It's still a half-an-hour-long footage. Since the return home was long, I decided to land at a nearby abandoned airbase. All the SAM battery site's vehicles were destroyed. Mission accomplished.
