UH Vs. UCR: UH Wins 2 of 3! UCR Series Had Everything!

UCR DH (4/5): https://mathew21688.wixsite.com/my-site/uh-vs-ucr-dh-4-5-25\n\nThe Rainbow Wahine Softball team hoped for a season sweep against the UC Riverside Highlanders but still won the series 2-1 this past weekend.\n\nUH would drop their first game on Friday, Apr. 4, 4-2, but they came back to sweep their doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 5, 4-3, and 3-2.\n\nUH was able to get 3 runs in the fourth inning after sparing a single run to Riverside in the third. They did so off a Milan Ah Yat RBI single, and a Jamie McGaughey double home run. The 'Bows got a final run from Larissa Goshi off a Riverside throwing error in the fifth.\n\nRiverside tried to rally with two runs scored in the sixth, but UH was able to keep them at bay.\n\nIn game two, neither team saw a run until the final scheduled inning when Riverside hit back-to-back solo home runs for an early 2-0 lead.\n\nUH responded back and quickly loaded the bases. Izabella Martinez would hit a 2-RBI single to tie the score, and Ah Yat would come through with the walk-off RBI single to bring in Larissa Goshi to give UH the doubleheader sweep.\n\nUH will now hit the road for a 3-game series against the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners starting with a single game on Friday, and a doubleheader on Saturday.
