The Ukraine conflict shows that the UK needs to have a structure in place to work with industries to face modern threats, a leading defence company has said.

Defence industry giant KBR, which has been providing support to the British Army for more than a decade, will now be working with the UK to support Ukraine and says lessons can be learned on how to incorporate defence and industry in times of war.

"The UK industry and UK MOD have had as much, if not more, to learn from the Ukrainians in that exchange and, likewise, British industry has a huge amount it can provide to support the effort," said the head of policy and public affairs for KBR, Hugo Rosemont.
