First Battalion the Royal Welsh have taken over from the Royal Tank Regiment as the lead British battlegroup on NATO’s eastern flank.

At a transfer ceremony at Tapa in Estonia, the two units paraded - flanked by some of the heavy armour the UK has sent to the region since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
