My favorite map from Ultimate Doom. So much fun, and a great challenge. The name is sick too, like the rest of Thy Flesh Consumed, its pulled from a bible verse. E4M1 and E4M2 are the hardest to play casually, but this level took by far the most attempts so far. It took me 167 attempts before doing it in sub 5 minutes. There are so many places to screw up, and getting a run where nothing goes wrong and wastes time is very difficult. The biggest choke is of course the red key grab, which I practiced for 2 hours on its own before figuring out. Even though I could consistently get it over and over in practice, I was still failing to do it every time I reached that point while recording. It frustrated me so much that I created a short guide vid explaining where you need to stand and lineup crosshairs to do it:

After that, the next biggest stress is actually the 4 spectres in the moat area. Preferably you want to kill them all while youre in that area anyways. If youre unlucky however, one of them will stay on the other side of the moat the whole time and youll miss it. I had several runs where I was about to finish with a great time, but was missing one enemy, and was devasted to find out it was a spectre at the beginning.
The lost souls in the starting area are also very annoying. Theyre time consuming to kill when you dont have to and could save several seconds by skipping, but also they are vicious in those tight caverns and will get in the way constantly.
