Ultimate NES Remix: SMB The Lost Levels Stages Compilation (All WR times)
I also played the Lost Levels stages and got the WR time on all of them (Stages 1 and 4 are untied, and the rest are tied with a few other players).
The Lost Levels is mostly the same as Super Mario Bros in terms of physics, but it has a few differences. One of them is that some levels are played as Luigi, who jumps higher and is way more slippery than Mario.
Leaderboards: https://cyberscore.me.uk/group/1505/8925 (also https://www.speedrun.com/ultimate_nes_remix_3ds/level/Super_Mario_Bros._The_Lost_Levels#Stage_1 but there are way less submissions from top players there).
Online regional leaderboards are messed up because some times just disappear for no reason after some time.
Some explanations:
0:00 Stage 1 in 12.4
The first 2 levels are mainly about movement optimization to get the mushroom. On level 3 I got the Fire Flower very quickly by clipping on the side of the block in a precise way. On level 4 I didn't get hit by the fire because the hitboxes are messed up, that was basically the earliest possible time to jump and not die to the fire.
0:48 Stage 2 in 18.5
Level 1 is very simple, level 2 requires landing on the left side of the spring to kill the red Koopa with no slowdown and level 3 is the hardest to optimize since you want to lose as little time as possible at one spot where I did a turnaround and barely kill the Goomba on the left.
1:32 Stage 3 in 19.5
This might seem very easy to optimize but it's actually not because you want to land as soon as possible to clear the levels quicker. That's why I landed very close to the edge on level 1, on the very left side of the spring on level 2 and jumped on the Koopa on the lowest spot possible on level 3 (you always get that big bounce on the Koopa, no matter if you hold jump or not).
2:20 Stage 4 in 21.1
The hitbox of the Piranha is messed up so I can enter the pipe very fast on level 3 (sometimes the Piranha just kills Luigi though). On level 4 I did a walljump which is both pixel and frame perfect (you need to hit a certain pixel on the wall to be able to jump on it, and then jump on a specific frame). The intended way is to use 2 hidden blocks to go up, but the walljump is way faster.
This was the hardest time to get, because of how hard hitting the right pixel on the walljump is and because 21.1 also requires an optimal level 3 (levels 1 and 2 are quite simple though).
3:14 Stage 5 in 25.8
Every level is pretty straightforward, but on level 4 at the beginning I went a little bit to the left and then turned right to be able to accelerate soon enough on the moving platform.
4:11 Stage 6 in 24.4
On level 1 I intentionally turned left a little bit a few times to spawn the last 3 Koopas as late as possible so that they will walk to the left as little as possible, which means the shell will kill them a little bit sooner. On level 2 I did the same walljump as the one in Stage 4, and on level 3 I grabbed the vine in a precise way to get up as soon as possible.
5:13 Stage 7 in 28.0
28.0 was quite simple and it was the easiest time to get, I did fast acceleration in other attempts on level 4 to try to save enough time for a 27.9 but I still was getting 28.0.
I speeded up the ending cutscene because it's really long for some reason.
