Ultimate Severe Weather Compilation

Storms can happen without warning, and when they do, the results can be catastrophic.
Huge amounts of rain can fall in a short period, which can turn streets....into rivers.
This can cause death and destruction on a large scale, with people's lives being changed forever.
City landscapes can be turned into water features, as heavy rain overwhelms storm water systems.
With this much water, the chance of landslides happening is greatly increased, and when water and earth combine together, they create one of the most destructive forces on earth.
While this type of weather can be deadly, it can also bring life to farmers crops, and arid drought stricken areas.
For areas that rely on the monsoon weather, it can bring relief from sweltering temperatures, as people venture outside and celebrate the rain.
There is another weather event that can cause just as much destruction.
Wind can also cause huge issues, as microbursts or storm downdrafts produce gusts of wind that are able to damage buildings, and even topple trucks.
Tornadoes are also one of the most destructive forces of wind, as buildings are able to be swept away in seconds.
They occur mostly in the USA, but do occur on almost every continent on earth.
While they can be beautiful to watch from a distance, there is no denying their power, and localized damage is second to none.
Hurricanes arguably provide the most destructive damage of all storm systems, with damage paths that can stretch for hundreds if not thousands of miles.
Hail is another weather phenomenon that can cause damage to buildings and vehicles.
While death is not common from hail, injury is quite common, as the size of hail can range anywhere from the size of a pea, all the way to the size of a baseball.
Large hail plummets from the sky at 25 to 40 miles per hour, often causing smashed windows on vehicles and large dents on the bodywork.
On occasion these balls of ice have been known to penetrate roofs of buildings, leaving a similar appearance to those of bullet holes.
When these storms happen, whether rain, hail or wind, often people's first reaction is to get their phone, and start recording.
Today we are going to take a look at some of These moments as they were captured on camera.
