Rowlet until Totem Gumshoos, first actual Ice type encounter is in the Seaward Cave before Hala. \n\nI will have to use the Kahuna level cap (Hala lv 16) for island 1, instead of the totem level caps (Gumshoos lv 12).\nI'm choosing Rowlet because Ice has a disadvantage against Haus Primarina, but most importantly because it's the only starter than can somewhat reliably get past Emily. \n\nDelibird and Smoochum are in the same area. However, with only Delibird, Hala would be impossible, and with only Smoochum, Totem Araquanid would be impossible.\nEven if I could SOS chain for Smoochum (which I can't, prior to beating Hala), the Arqaquanid fight would be too RNG dependent (Lovely Kiss landing with 75% accuracy, Jynx having Hidden Power Flying / Rock (11.8%), and Araquanid sleeping 3/3 turns(33%) = 2.9% total). \nThis is why I decided to allow both Seaward Cave encounters and Z moves for Araquanid, which I usually ban. \n\nThe nuzlocke begins once I catch my first legitimate encounter (Crabrawler).\n\nYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Lilith_Xolaani\nTwitch: https://www.twitch.tv/lilithxolaani\nDiscord: https://discord.gg/S45g8s6WCg
