Umbrella uses the Push Notifications feature new to iPhone 3.0. If it's going to rain you'll receive an alert that warns you to grab an umbrella before you leave the house. You'll never get rained on again!

Just open the app once and you're good to go. Umbrella automatically detects your location. If you want, you can change the time when you receive your alert. You can also raise the percent chance of rain threshold to filter out alerts you don't want to see.

You'll receive an alert in the morning warning you about how likely you'll get wet when you go outside. Get another alert in the evening, too; you choose the times, and Umbrella keeps track.

There's no need to keep the application running. You'll receive push alerts even if your phone is idle and the application is closed.

Umbrella gives the most accurate forecasts available---accurate right down to your house or office. The best a website or the television can give is the forecast for your city, but Umbrella gives you the forecast almost to where you're standing. Umbrella get its information directly from the US NOAA/NWS (National Weather Service). No other forecast is as accurate.

Umbrella automatically indicates the following types of weather: Rain, Showers, Thunderstorms, Snow, Hail, Ice, Wind, Breeze, Sun, Heat, Cold, Fog, Fire, Smoke, Dust, Floods, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, and more.
