Now things are really moving, there's a lot of very important discussion here, especially the scenes in the Guest Room with Kyrie. This is a great chapter. It's a shame it took so long to get interesting again, but to be frank, Higurashi's second arc was much worse at keeping the pace in check, so it's at least an improvement over last time.
We're also finally getting scenes in Purgatorio which is refreshing, they tend to be a lot of the best scenes in the series, but you'll see more of why later on.
It's also interesting to see new locations, like the VIP Room in this chapter. We spend most of our time across the series on Rokkenjima, especially the mansion, so new rooms and backgrounds is refreshing.

Written by Ryukishi07, best known for his previous work writing Higurashi When They Cry, this sequel is perfectly accessible to newcomers, so you can jump right in with the Ushiromiya family and their annual family conference at Rokkenjima Island in October, 1986.
I plan to try my best to upload at least a chapter a day. This will be a no-commentary read-through of Umineko as this is not my first time reading so any commentary I have would be heavily spoilery. Please do not discuss spoilers in the comments so first time readers may enjoy spoiler free discussion and theory-crafting, however if you want a better place to do so, check out my Discord server, where you can chat with me and anyone else who watches, including dedicated discussion channels for Umineko to prevent spoilers.
