Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - Part 3

What was originally meant to be a DLC in the vein of The Last of Us: Left Behind turned into a longer and less condensed story with The Lost Legacy. I felt that the character of Chloe Frazer was sorely missed in A Thief's End, so I was delighted to see her return for The Lost Legacy - but sadly, it really fell deeper and deeper into the backlog until I forgot about it. Fast forward over 5 years and I've got the PlayStation 5 remaster in pursuit of the platinum trophy for the Legacy of Thieves collection.
You play as Chloe, teaming up with Nadine Ross (the secondary antagonist from Uncharted 4) to hunt the tusk of Ganesh with the intention of splitting profits so that Nadine can resstablish mercenary force Shoreline, and Chloe just because - or at least it seems that way until it is revealed that she has a personal connection to this particular treasure hunt. It wouldn't be Uncharted without some competition, this time coming from Asav, a man hellbent on throwing India into civil war. The writing is decent for the most part (it IS Naughty Dog) but whilst the dynamic is excellent between Nadine and Chloe - Asav is perhaps the most one dimensional in maybe the entire series.
Gameplay can be a bit of mixed bag too, with a lot of it feeling like treading old ground - Although the game is graphically beautiful, the first and second act don't carry the excitement of previous series entries until the puzzles start making an appearance. There doesn't seem to be a real need to explore every nook like in the main game, and the open area is more a pace-killer than somewhere to cover every inch - and if it wasn't for the dialogue then it would be a dull affair. With all this said, the higher frequency of enemy encounters is a welcome return, and it seems there's more of them than UC4. The puzzles are really well designed and fun to solve also, more so than A Thief's End - and the high octane third act is outstanding.
